Cabal "Updated" or rather Downgraded.

Finally unbanned for a "flame thread" when merely kru was just being ignorant of my cause, probably didn't even read the post...

But anyway, theres a different topic, this time i am picking on the game and the people managing the updates..

Okay, so first off, Dungeon music...
Now from what i see, You guys have lim.i.ted (Why is m.i.t censored?) it to playing 1 or 2 tracks..

Go look in your cabal folder: C:\Program Files\Games-Masters.com\CABAL Online (Europe)\Data\Sound\Dungeon\

There is 13 files, all loop bgm that was played in dungeons. When i played P2P i heard every single one of them at least once, it was completely random on choice, Same for original release CB and OB.

Guess what now, the game goes f2p, a few updates.. Only 1 (Maybe 2 tracks) Play now, I am sick of hearing al.wav looped all the time in dungeons, i swear once i heard the_fiction.wav but i doubt it.

Know why? Because when i deleted al.wav No music played in dungeons at all, and my files arn't corrupt, they're all the same quality and format. Just to confirm this i asked my guild, they all said they hear the same music in dungeons too.

So what there's several conclusions to why this is happening:
A ) The playlist was removed for some weird reason?!
B ) A bug that every single player is getting.
C ) Maybe Dungeons like the voice of the annoying girl in al.wav?
D ) Removed because the songs were causing "bugs".
E ) Theres more features removed for F2P players than the GM's are mentioning.

I can pretty much can only see it being E.
There was no bugs or anything wrong with the other dungeon music, So its got to be D or some messed up update you guys did.
Fix it please i dont want to hear that voice anymore its making me bored of cabal.



Secondly, Game crashes.

Yep i never used to get this problem unless later drivers for my hardware are "causing" it, But i doubt it and here's why:

Ok so every like maybe 3-6 hours of playing, it's really random mostly happens in green despair i think. The game will just close its self.

What happens, First thing you will notice is the cursor starts flashing and like a Square outline of the cursor comes on and does this distorting effect around it, ill guess thats the full size of the cursor images Screwing up, guess what im right.
Once when this happened i looked at the top right, on the mini-gps and the map was blank, so i pressed tab to get the gps up, And i got a bunch of .dds is corrupted errors, pathing to the location of the maps in the cabal data folder.
So my guess here is cabal is probally corrupting its own stored RAM data.

Whats the deal with that? I never had that problem before, Once.
Think its because my pc sucks? Wrong again, my pc way surpasses cabal, the engine is crappy and has bad coding, so everyone will get lag in towns and some places at some camera angles, thats why i can jack up AA to X8 and AF to X16 and get no performance difference (The aa and af are taking effect though, it does work.)

Secondly my specs are :
AMD Athlon 4600+ 64 X2 Dual core 2.41ghz OCED
ASUS ATi radeon x1600 512mb PCI-E OCED
2gb DDR2 RAM
300GB SATA HD
Thermaltake very aircooled case, No overheats; ever.

Another thing is, You've gimped 90% of cabal players.
Everyone that played before you took out skill xp for fade step and dash, Got Transcender/Transcender at lvl 60.. I did not get to "exploit" this for long enough, allthough i only gained 2 or 3 skill ranks, im now a gimped 88 warrior with A.master 55/60 / Regular. Everyone else is Trans/trans, even when i played p2p.
So what i got 2-3 skill ranks off that, Now that you got every method of everyway of actually leveling your skill level easily gone, not to mention 75% skill although the quests will make your exp rate still about 85% Even though killing is 75% exp.

This will result in every new player that didn't exploit, being like lvl 100 with maybe master/apprentice or lower, You going to expect people to wear adept gear and kill for 12 hours straight? Make it 24 hours, Because people used fade step and dash had it fast, because they either used them in conjunction with another between 2 objects, or put a coin on d and the button for fadestep/dash and got 1/2 skill ranks in 6-12 hours, probably less.



Oh and kru and cabal staff, I hope your prepared for a lot of moaning, from everyone. Wait till all the new players get to level 50 Which isnt hard, they get 1 area to do quests and exp in.. Port lux, not to mention the servers are allways full and i find it hard enough leveling on my level 40 char as it is now, a lot of people will be at port lux, I hope you can handle people writing on the forums about how much ksing happens and how crowded port lux is, And lug queens etc and the bloody ice etc alternatives, who's going to level there? there aren't many of those allready, not to mention all newbies are currently leveling in 3 different areas and im finding it hard enough to even get a mob that hasnt been attacked allready by another player, So whats going to happen when i get into port lux and all 3 areas players are combined into 1 exactly the same size area?

It is, or rather was Open Beta so if you found a bug/fault/change or whatever then just report it and see what happens from there. If people don't tell them, then how are they meant to know? I don't think they would have done them on purpose.

As for the Dash/Fade Step.. well, they just realised it was too easy, too late I'm guessing. Be thankful that you got 2-3 ranks out of it, as most won't get any (Myself included). Either way, the rank you're at is your choice. If you think you're 'gimped' or whatever then it's your own fault.. not GMs for not letting you exploit.

Worst problem is the amount of bugs thats now in the game compared to "older" versions.

I have also noticed this realy aggravating glitch with the music files although I just assumed at the time that the music track just miraculously kept coming up at random. I agree I don't want to hear the same music tracks over and over, I wouldn't mind hearing "beautiful" and such once in a while too.

I was also annoyed at the fade step/dash issue but I guess that can't be helped now...

And the ksing thing.. for example I was accused yesterday of ksing when all I was doing was attacking a monster that appeared to be free, the only thing was that like 3 other people were after it at the same time as me so I ended up looking bad when I hadn't actualy done anything intentionally to annoy another player.

But you might find that some of this will be fixed when the servers re-open today (hopefully).

stop criticysing without reading carefully neko, frist his computer is good, so no problems on that as you said. I was informed that some games are crashing cus of the dual core (strange hun?) the problem seams to fix when you shut down one of the cores... dont know if it solve the problem here, in any case its strange. I sopose you tryed to reinstal the game... if not do it.

The dash thing, it was too easy to lvl up the ranks that way, good it was removed but bad it was removed too late cus many ppl got trans trans at low lvls tkz to that.

The music thing... whell on the old cabal forums (CB 1) some guy posted a link to 6 mp3 cabal music, so im using that instead of the atm annoying musics of the game, first the 3 areas musics suks, we should have more options and more adapted for battle, like inside town the musics are cool but outside it would be better diferent and better musics (im imagining the lalalalalala from blody ice... *** was that was the guy drunk when he made a lalalalala song, he basicly stans and say lalalalala all the time :p)

I already said these one, all the areas are too small, its just a bunch of corridors, i strongly sugest to pay atention to other games, specialy one i mentioned in other post, ill not say the name these time, cus these way its too hard to lvl on the 3 maps area, i dont want to imagine when we all move to port lux.

I said these once an ill say it again, Cabal Online is a good game, it depends on the dev team will to turn it in to a exelent game.

I prefer the cabal dungeon music, they really should just fix it, what im going to listen to like trance/dance rock metal or something while im playing cabal? Think not, I want to hear the awesome dungeon music.. But its only playing one..

As for the crashing, its corrupting its own ram so its nothing to do with the dual core, Secondly it used to work fine back in p2p, i could leave the game on for 24 hours afk without a worry, if i leave it for 4 hours afk it will crash eventually and im not doing anything, I really should record the crashing sometime lol.

i get ksed evry 5 seconds to 5 minutes who thinks its funny to kill my lure, and this is in the 3 areas
cant imagine that in one area.

Ummm nothing wrong with my pc belive me, and i want to hear the dungeon music because the dungeon loops it better too, stop telling me to stick on media players to cover up the problem, instead fix the ****ing problem dont just leave it..

Well about the odd random crashing i found out that was a prob with the cpu over heating which in my case it was and ever since i fixed my cooling prob i havnt crashed yet.

btw mitsukai a g5 keyboard is basically a gamers keyboard and you can make macros on it and whatnot and bot.. and thats not against the rules, but using a program to do it is.

Also they should fix the jukebox, and stop it autoplaying, the game is better without that gay bgm. its annoying when theres a chance that everytime i enter a new zone or exit a dungeon that the jukebox just starts playing on its own.

I think theyre really determined to make you hear the gay *** bgm, only good bgm is in fort ruina and undead ground...
Gotta remove the auto playing guys, people are leaving cabal because of the gay music, 2 of my friends quit because of bloody ice's bgm.

only with me random crashes seem to take place in undead ground between the bridges riding my board, always on the way to farm in dungeons. haven;t played the game since this year's closed beta this year as quit (why play a game your bored to death of) but when i have logged to see how my game mates are i lagged every 3 mins. keep in mind that 2 of the 3 pcs i log in on are better than the thread starters (not on a my pc is better than yours angle just commenting lag should. not. happen)

however - you're talking about the dash exploit? wow this takes me back more recently its been botting and speedhacking (before any comments are made on my characters my archer was skilled up in the lunar event legally and the 2nd i ranked by auto attacking). fully agree with all the other points - to my knowledge the game has gotten worse not better from a year ago. a year ago changes were made you could walk without lagging (i could even play on my lame -ar£s laptop then) and it had prospects

i can;t comment on the music. i'd prefer to import my own stuff as don;t like the cabal soundtrack.

also noticed something else. someone typed in f^%king in this thread without it being censored? yet sum'bit is? my complaints always been how come a language supposibly in English has censorship in every other language and you offend someone out of ignorance? its kinda pathetic by now to have such a maladjusted swear filter

Nope, I do not have a G5 keyboard, all I did was punch the golems, for 2 days.
That brought me to Double G.Master
It was easy really, if you can't do it, then that's your problem, but don't whine about the exploit when you can do just as well without.

And FYI, the keyboard I DO have is a DELL, plain normal dell keyboard.

Aside from that, saying G5 is nub, because I could just as well have used hax or other third party macro software.
=) Of course, all your accusations about me using third party tools to easen the skilling, I will deny, since the truth is simply, I spent 2 days pressing 1 and clicking golems (and the eventual loot selling as well)

I managed to stop the jukebox autoplaying. You press on the double arrows button (it looks a bit like a reversible reaction arrow if you do chemistry) and then it basically can't find the file anymore...no more fluffy music. :)

e.yen, that only works if you have no .ogg files in the jukebox folder, you basically switch from BGM folder to that. (Put a BGM .ogg in the jukebox folder, and you'll see what I mean.)

And for "your pc not being the problem" Alfarjamie.
I'm not saying it is, i'm just saying my PC ain't exactly top notch, and i'm not having any issues.

Then again, it still could just as well be a conflict or just something that messed up your files, or a problem with a cabal itself. (Which coincidentally hid itself for me so that I may play the game for unlimited time without crashing)

I used to read a lot of your posts on the old forum and they gave a lot of good info, along with positive comments towards the game. I found a lot of the answers I needed from your posts and you appeared to give a fairly balanced view on classes. Yet now, why do you feel the need to post how you have quit all the time and just point out negatives, which will be fixed, or maybe changed anyway. It was still beta for the last few weeks so hopefully people will have reported these bugs and they will be fixed. That is, if they reported them, mind.

Regular attacks do give you skill exp. I know some who have had double G master at lvl60, and wore there OS armor from there. It only takes patience something you must not have since your pissed about them making you work a lil harder for your skill levels.

I do however completely agree with the bgm problem.

Also a warrior is saying wizards sucks...............................right no comment....................

That's called "running a graphics intensive game".

I guess you've never minimised full screen games in the past, they always screw with the graphics in other applications 'cause they're hogging most of the graphics resources.

If you're running a decent system, however, you shouldn't have much problem at all. I'm able to minimise Cabal easily (it's clearly been designed so that it doesn't put up a fight) and I can load firefox and browse the web while it's running as if it wasn't there. I can have last.fm playing music in the background while I play cabal with no problems.

Except for the fact that I can't turn off dungeon music. Which I agree, is bloody ****** and undoubtedly a bug. Not too high priority though!

all i have to say is.. "your pc come with a refund.. Take it" i've played cabal for hours and i've even managed to alt-tab in and out of it LOADS better than World of Warcraft.. If you are unhappy with Cabal online.. Move on! and let the rest of us -enjoy- the game. I will hold my hands up and agree that a very few of your statements have been true.. but 40% of it is rambling and 30% of it is useless junk cause you can't get your own way. The Game is made for the mass market hence MMO which means the game has to be balanced for ALL players.. i actually agree that the "first" 30% on skills does suck abit if you grinded thru the first 30% but just logging on the forums saying its crap and swearing your *** off in a post just removes the whole objective of helping you!..

Funny how i can play games like quake 4 with no problem on full settings, but there again i guess cabal has "better requirements" and its my "pc" thats the problem..

you guys are so hapy with tha game that dont care if it have bugs or not, but ppl like Alfarjamie love the game and so he wants to see the game working better, and saying "oh forget the music game turn it of and use your own music" its just covering the bugs. If there are prblems, and there are lots of them, the DEV staf should do all thats possible to fix them and make the game better.
Agressive or not, Alfarjamie post says mutch of what is wrong in the game.
