More hotkeys

Hi,

Someone told me in game there is no other way than the mouse to target a monster. Sometimes it is kinda hard to select the nearest monster, especially if we have a wrong camera.

Don't you think it could be good to have hotkeys to select the nearest monster, and to switch target?

Having a Hot key to select and switch target would improve playability. I like to use the numbers on the right of my keyboard to cast spell / use skills and the W,A,S,D to move around. Having a hot key to target would save me the trouble of going to the mouse every time i want to target another ennemy.

I fully agree with that.

It save me much trouble, especially during mass-fights its kinda annoying to switch back to the mouse, to target the next mob.
Hopefully it will be added in future updates.

Not only easier to run but also harder for GM's to investigate and then ban the cheaters. Most of them are quite easy to catch cus you just see the character rotate in 80 degree angles, bieng able to have it so it can select an enemy will almost gaurantee they will be around for good - level 30 dual trans and they didnt do any of it.. joy.

I don't care about bots as far as it affects playability for me! Programming a bot wouldn't matter much if this key exists or not. A perfect bot program wouldn't brwose through the nearest enemies by using this key, but would just check all the nearest monsters that are loaded into memory. Using that key wouldn't be that good for bots as they might run far away from the location they were before.

the game admins r never online, and the botters that r reported simply continue being there, so,...
if u click on a botter, and whisper him, u ll see hes offline, while he s standing next to u,
(all botters seen till now, are warriors, tbh)

Thats hardly taking him away from the area if pressing that key selects the nearest none playing character target.. why would a botter still use the old 80 degree method when they can look more realistic using the one button select next enemy approach. Just like you dont care about botters, i dont care about using a button to target.. this game was made for keyboard and mouse and until now its only been you 4 people who have had a problem with it. :dontknow:

Lets try to keep this on why it would be a good idea to use (or bad idea), not that you dont care about certain peoples opinions. Alot of people care about the cheaters of the game - GM's also lose money in the long run because once they have fat skills, they do super damage and have no need for services like premium.

I welcome the keyboard and mouse use, far to many games now make it far to easy with macro's, tab targeting etc.

well, tbh i like it the way it is.pressing the number keys on the left side of the keyboard,and moving/targeting with the mouse. its easy.

An exclusive hp pot hotkey would be nice. Make a target command and/or a hotkey to target someone in my party, so I could heal/buff my mates a lot more easily. Many online games have these features, and I do miss them in Cabal. It would be also nice if I could customize the hotkey setup.

And in the name of all lv50+ FAs I demand an auto attack on/off key :D

Do you know about the Function keys to select party members Zred (F5 to F8 - or maybe F9 to F12), or you thinking of something different.

Bieng a numberpad user i would like to be able to customise them so i could use something a tad closer like PageUp-PageDown-Home and End.

i dont agree with this... simply because i know that camara can be controled.. Most of the times, when i want to center the camara(to were i want to look) i use the walking key knowed has " W " ..
With time i know that it will be easier to control the camara..
About what D DARK sayed.. i agree too.. it will only make bottter's live easier... wich we will not need this much...

I hate that mob/enemy select key.You could make easy macro with that.

In reality, the bots don't run the normal client! They use their own "bot clients" which are similar to the original one and acts like one except the automated actions. They might already have the "select nearest enemy" option, so why couldn't we have it too?
Don't trust that they're using different "client"? Look at the private servers of many games! Noone ever released or stole those server files. The server was made to act like the original one, to interact with the client programs the same way as the original server would. The bot client situation is vice-versa of the server situation. The clients are made without graphics, just a lot of functions reading data, deciding what to do and sending data to the server.
I still insist that we may have the select/switch nearest target button because bots live without it, without the original client. At least most of them. And the hotkey improvement is only client-side feature.
