View Full Version : force archer help guide?
what up everyone. started playing a few days ago as a force archer and i gotta admit, i'm totally clueless ha. pretty much the epitome and definition of a "noob". i'm only level 17 so i don't know what else there is to do except doing the quests and gaining skills or whatever term ya'll coined for that. was wondering if some sort of guide or info library exists for a force archer or the game overall cause the info on cabalonline.com is very limited.
any help is much appreciated!
gotta start spunging info so i'll know what the hell i'm doing.

I don't know if there's other guides for FA besides Sniper's guide (which IMO isn't good at all )
I've thought about writhing some sort of guide myself, but i'm too lazy for it. maybe some day...
For now i'll just list some things, that are important:
- Learn to combo, this applies to all classes. Comboing is very important in this game, without combo you'll be nothing.
- Don't take mana upgrade! you might think FA need mp upgrade, but that is totally wrong, potions are so good in this game that you won't need increased mana to keep going. HP upgrade, on other hand, is must.
- Get critical shot, keep it and love it. IMO it's best skill FA ever gets
- Skip precision buff, wait for Eagle eye. It's much better, though you don't need any kind of hitrate buff later in game because you'll combo most of the time
- Don't bother with drilled shot... it's too slow. Prismatic isn't that bad, but i would recommend using it only if your "stunlock" combo requires it.
- You are healer. If you don't like healing, but you like partying in late-game, go for some other class. FA is great DPS class, but you have to heal other players in certain dungeons and bosses.
I'll add some points too.
- Use 2 Orbs instead of Crystals for a little more magic.
- Skill level as you go and once you hit level 80 skill level till you reach trancsender since you'll be able to use full adept gear.
- 1slot titanium stuff sells good, so easy money to earn there.
- go by your growth level on STR and DEX and put all remaining points on INT.
thanks guys!
done everything ya'll suggested. i'll make sure to hp upgrade. is it better to use orbs isntead of crystals even if you're below level 30?

- Stick to crystals until you're 80+ and meet the stat requirements for Osmium +6, then you can focus on putting all your points into INT.
- Don't rely on crits to win. Critical shot is only useful for players who PvP a lot and need crits to win.
- HP upgrades and Magic upgrades are a must.
- Don't rely on your growth lvl for STR and DEX when you reach lvl 50+. For now, you should aim for them or slightly over.
- I suggest you skill a lot levels 40-80. By lvl 80, you definitely need to be at least G.Master in Magic, don't worry too much about sword as it's useless in Archer except for Dash skill and for gaining STR and DEX points.
- Low level buffs aren't that important. Buffs that matter are Mana Condense, Vital Force and Vital Bless. They should all be lvl 20 when you reach level 80+.
- Ignore advice 'You're a healer!'. FA doesn't always have to be a healer, do what you want :)
- Get varied opinions. Don't just listen to one person.

It's good for PvE too, till lakeside. crit shot dmg is especially low against lakeside mobs unless it crits

After 50 you should aim for armor and weapon requirements

G.master at 80 is good goal, but i don't agree with ignoring sword rank. You'll get lots of precious stats and HP by skilling sword. helps you reach armor requirements faster too.

well.. vital bless max is 9, so that's what lvl it should be ^^ repulsive armor is helpfull buff too.

I didn't mean that FA is always healer :) , FA is great DPS class and should be dealing dmg when soloing or partying on normal mobs. But at bosses like lakeside boss FA is always needed as healer (try killing it without FA if you don't believe ^^)

indeed, walk your own paths. If you like doing something other way than most of us tell, just keep doing it. Gaming is all about having fun after all ^^

I'm relatively new to FA's - mine only being 53 atm - And I was just wondering whether I should skill sword at the same time as magic?
Should I get to Expert and then get Magic > Sword, hack away with noobie sword skills or just forgo sword for now and get to a certain rank before skilling sword?
i did diffrent:
i made one char each type, and got em all to level 10+ (to get an idea, what class suited me best)
(u can use those chars as storage too)

This is up to you. I recommend skilling sword to apprentice(7)(not sure if it's correct) for Dash Lv9. After that concentrate on g.master magic. From here on you can choose to skill either sword or magic. Sword is easier but magic is more rewarding.
I myself reached transcender when my sword rank was still expert. After that I haven't bothered skilling, it went up by itself while lvling. ( don't expect it to rise too soon though ).
