Quote from the most recent announcement about the extension of the closed beta testing phrase:
"the Closed BETA phase will be expanded to all paid accounts which were active before CABAL went offline; which includes all those users who had a subscription lasting until the date after 12pm GMT on the 21st May 2007."
I had a trial account, it certainly wasn't paid, but under the Account Section it did say that my sucscription expired on 27th May 2007. Which is certainly after 12pm GMT 21st May 2007. So please respond as profoundly as you can, as I would really like to know in utmost detail whether or not I can play, I've been waiting for 3 weeks, surely I won't have to wait another 1? -__-

There will be a rollback after closed beta because closed beta testers will get "dummie cash" for testing the new shopsystem.
I still had an "Active" subscription though.

an active account is one which was paid for, trial account doesn't count as active

i guess trial account = other account, the only difference is that the 1 week premium (or ptp) was free ;-)
@ some forum ppl (ga or so) told me i would be able to play 13th june (ive got trial)
so i hope it doesnt change ;-)

For those who are having some confusion in understanding.
- Those who had an account which was active up until the point in which CABAL closed, will be able to play on the 13th June.
- Those who had an account, which was not active, will now have to wait until the 20th June.
- Those who have never played CABAL before, will have to wait until the 20th June. This date has not changed.
Hopefully this clears up any confusion.
as it was still active (trial one), i guess u guys let me play to? or else its really confusing and u guys should be more clear about all that stuff & if u answer a question like that, just reffer to a topic where all details are in (easyer) ;)
i am counting down 3 weeks already, and today i get to hear that i have to w8 an other week :'(:damnmate:
Trial account doesnt have a marked down payment history so therefore you wont exactly get premium features for few days

Sorry I agree it was not clear. Only those who paid for their account will be able to access the game on the 13th June. I hope this clears up any confusion.

Two reasons:
(i) The main reason is that it allows us to increase the numbers as we would like. The number of players who had a paid account at this time is a nice figure, which means our servers will not be swamped or un-tested.
(ii) It is a nice reward, if you can call it that, for those players who were playing and paying before F2P.

This is OK because a person who arrived the last 2 days with a 7 days free account don't have to have the same reward as the people who paid to play the last month!

Yup, my account ran out about 2 days before servers went offline so thought i wouldnt be able to get on... looks like i'll be on tomorrow then :y:
Was gonna wait till servers went live so i could experience the new version of cabal with everyone else but gah, might aswell run up some walls and bug test.

ur reward is the fact that all payed users will get 1 month new premium, while trial players wont ... so its rather that trial players get punished if they cant play
+ i wuld have payed if the server wouldnt be offline ;-)
+ i guess that trial players was to get new ppl to the server, but as they where exited about their first week, they have to w8 4 weeks with playing
(so i guess perhaps you may lose some of those ... idk)

My guild was with 40 or less people in, when the servers closed we were 111 persons and some people that coudn't join my guild. So I suppose that's only the spanish new trial people, so more than 50 people spanish.
It's like +500.

perhaps its like 5% of all ppl trial? so what does it care for gm's to let us play and have some fun to, its not that the trial ppl will be the cause of server troubles ... just let us have some fun to !! (plz ;-))

trial players are indeed more than 10 xD ... and don't worry, those paid players are or should be mainly testing the game (including cash shop) and the server... of course there would be some players that just are afk-ing or pvp-ing or just taking advantage by trying to enchant their items to get the idea how big the success rate is since there will be a rollback anyway... but since there will be roll back anyway after the 19th, it should not be that fun... and not something that you should envy of... in fact there are some invited CB players that start complaining already because they have to test for another week and will be rolled back eventually.
just wait for another week ^^ ... it won't kill ya =]

Your beeing a bit ignorant, naive is the best word. I remmeber my curent games server where 4000 plays make it lag as hell, and we are not in any "beta" so imagine what it can make on a server that needs to test there hardw, if something is not working fine imagine what could happen...

no... they want to increase the number of players to test the stability of the machine without compromising the equipment safty (i gess). They could chose to allow ppl to get in randomly but they decided to give these "Bonus" to ppl who superted CabalOnline all along by paying to play.

They are not only testing the hardware, but also the cash shop... and there was problem where ppl kept getting kicked out of the server too. And some players also test the quests actually, dunno if it is needed but some of them are doing it since there was no 'to do' list available for them.
and btw, don't make him jealous by saying that it is fun XD ... rawr xP

btw i guess that hardware test & install has already be done :p
i think they dont wanna change the server anymore, i guess the game has to be (server requirements) capable to run with all the ppl that wanna play (when game gets released) already, they just need other things to be tested (i guess)
so i guess if trial ppl will be the cause of lag, in open beta or the released version will be even bigger lag
btw y do u even start talking about an other game? i guess cabal isnt the same as ur lineage2 game, nor the server is i guess, so ur comparing 2 different things :p

- This is a CABAL Online forum - meant for discussions on CABAL. Please do not mention other games, especially competitors. :p)
During the last maintenance they installed new hardwares and/or servers to anticipate the massive growth of new players after f2p is released.
