View Full Version : How does CDI and Extending work for WA?

Hey all,
I've always wondered how it worked for WA. I have a couple questions.

1.When a WA has, i.e a tita gs 32%dmg and 2 slots, would each c.dmg upgrade in each slot be 10% or 20%? If it was 10%, that would make 52% c.dmg total compared to a blade which would have a 36% total (under the same circumstances). So I guess it must be 20% to be equal to a blade/katana with 16 dmg and 2 slots right? I have never tried putting c.dmg into a GS or Dai, so I guess I wouldn't know.

2. When a WA wants to extend his/her GS or Dai, would the c.dmg increase by 4% 5%, 8%, or 10%?

Sorry for all the noob questions. I played my WA only till like 9x and i never put cdi/extended any gs' or dai's.

normal slots DMG [20][20]
extended slots DMG [24][24][2]
if you go extend slots without rate in it then put in third slot (extended slot) > ATTACK and not DMG.
looks like this [24 DMG][24 DMG][10 ATTACK]

normal slots DMG [20][20]

extended slots DMG [24][24][2]

btw. if you go extend slots without rate in it then put in third slot (extended slot) ATTACK not DMG

Or lvl 2, aka 2 force cores and try rate

rate in 3 slot > attack in 3 slot

1 : all slots on GS are like 2x the bonus on a 1hand sword .
so on a GS , a crit dmg slot gives 20%dmg
32%dmg craft + 2slot crit dmg = 72dmg gs =)

2 : the extend gives one more extra slot AND affects the other slots .
the 20%crit dmg slot on a non-extended GS will become 24% if extended
so if you extend a tita gs max craft and 2slot you will have :
craft 32%dmg // first slot 24%dmg // second slot 24%dmg // third slot 2%dmg

If the 3slots are the same (in the exemple it's 3slots crit dmg) , the "extend effect" increase the bonus of the first and second slot only , but decrease greatly the 3rd slot (only 2%dmg)

so the best option crit rate instead of the crit dmg : the crit rate slot gives 10% on a non-extended great sword , but 14%rate on a extended great sword.

the best option is there :
titanium greatsword of deathblow : craft 32%crit dmg
first slot : 14%crit rate
second slot : 24%crit dmg
third slot : 24%crit dmg

congratz you have a maximum critical greatsword =)

Awesome, thank you for all the info in one :D . Is it as hard to find one of these tita gs' in wEOD (a 32% dmg craft) as it is a blade or katana, orbs etc?

yea and if you are unlucky you get any of the random lvl2 enhanchements like alz drop instead of rate :ok:
