Hiya,

I've read that our completer skill is the slowest with it's 4 seconds cast time. But when I see this video:

It seems a lot faster than 4 seconds and definitely faster than the GM skill (which is 4 seconds). If I count the time it seems more like 3 seconds...

What's the deal? Your opinion :shades:?

PS. I only use combo, so if this means combo'ing will make it a lot faster (like impact stab which is almost 0.2 seconds xD) then I think I'm going to love this skill.

From personal experience, the cast times of GM and completer seems to be the same.

You know the standard stunlock PvE combo, which goes like this?
boj>break>explosion>boj>crush

When I swopped break (GM) for splinter (comp), the time interval before the next stun comes in, feels the same to me. I still get hit once, before the 2nd boj activates.

Note: That is by no means the best combo, I did that to test out something only. =p
Bonus info: The ideal PvE combo IMO would be boj>break>splinter. The second boj comes in abit later than the above combo, but you'll still get hit only once. :)

Huh, cabal has different time. Like 1 second equal 1.5 cabal second. At least that's what i think.

Well i think that FA's completer skill is a bit long aswell, but hey xD its a awsome skill ;D. Lovin It!

it has 3 seconds.. you can watch other videos in youtube.. there is a 3 second timed movie which made in bloody ice shows completer skill.. pretty nice looking skill but it is not as agressive as shield break.. sb.. beatiful sword dance.. i wish it had more damage like in vl 1 1.90amp + 750dmg..

you guy forget starting and finish animations, like storm crush the final blow takes really long (where you see a short lightning on your blade). so it might be just 4sec, only the final part is not really showable.

I hope it's kind of the same thing as impact stab vs flash draw.

If used normally, they're both almost the same speed (1.5 sec vs 1.6 sec).

But when used in a combo, impact stab loses it's (long) recovery time and flash draw loses minimal recovery time (most of the casting time is in the pre-charge). So in a combo, impact stab is almost 3-4(!) times faster than flash draw.

Also, I noticed another weird thing in the video.

At 1:08 it seems like the completer skill is canceled after 2 hits and the FS moves on... am I seeing that right?

Well, completer skill looks beutifull.. SB also looks great, and even storm crush.
So what?
It sill useless :( (too low DPS!!!!)
I dont want another good-looking skill. European FS needs a little "upgrade" to sword skills.:stupido:

Now i have lvl 95 (a.master/g.master) , 35 SP to distribute (waiting for completer skills).

You're only am/gm at lvl95... no wonder you feel kind of weak. You're supposed to start feeling weak after 100+ when everyone has the same rank. Your rank is just kind of low...

The only sword skill that I think is good looking is the GM one, which mixes just fine with my cannons. The other slow-*** sword skills don't look any nicer than the magic attacks.

So while this board is already full of negative posts, I'd like to ask you not to bring that pessimistic stuff in my topic. I love being a FS, proud to be a FS. I know it's harder to get strong, will never reach the full potential of the other classes, but I love it nonetheless.

As a lvl 82 completer / g.master FS I say:
Force Shielder ftw.

FS (a.master/G.master) vs FA (a.master/G.master) = FA win
FS(a.master/G.master) vs Mage (a.master/G.master) = Mage win
and so on ;]

(same gear - clerar osmium for tests :))
