Hello,
Recently I started playing Cabal Online again and ever since I came back I'm facing major performance issues.
Whenever I run Cabal Online it starts to eat my CPU and memory completely, 4x2.8 processor and 6 GB of memory are being used within the first minute (95 -100%). After that the game slows down and I can't do anything anymore till I restart my pc, even if I close the client the problem remains.
Before someone states the obvious points I would like to point a few things out:
* I update all my drivers on a weekly base.
* I adjusted my TCP settings perfectly for gaming.
* I don't run anything in the background.
* Both Windows XP and 7 give this problem.
Every MMO I played so far I never faced a single problem, and I mean not a single problem at all. Next generation games like Vindictus, C9 and so on work like a charm and require way more from a PC than Cabal Online does.
So my only conclusion is that the client is leaking memory like water or the servers can't transfer data fast enough. I also noticed that there is a some sort of memory eating anti hack/cheater program in the background running whenever you are logged in. This could also be the problem I guess.
I've seen a few topics on this issue from other players and I would like to know what's being done about this? Because honestly, no game is worth playing if you have to deal with these problems for weeks/months. It's a game after all, which should provide entertainment, not stress.
Thanks for reading and I hope to see a reply soon.
