Ok... after buying this new pc i faced a problem... a huge one, i have windows vista premium, and i dont like it at all, or then its not liking me...
Let me explain,
first of all the specs:
Amd Athlon 64x2 5000+ dual core
NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430
2GB Ram
Internet connection: 24 megs solid
those r the main things, and i think that cabal should run pretty neatly with those since my old laptop did great, it had weak specs but it had its own good sides (WinXP)
Anyways lets move on...
The problem is, that when ever i start a game, my mouse cursor starts coming behind ... like has a big ping ( mouse is Logitech G5 ) and it shouldnt be of the mouse. 2nd of all my keyboard does the same aswell, this time when i type, it lags for a sec and then types, this doesnt happen when im not having any games on, and i think those specs are well enought to run cabal + vista fo'sho without any problems occuring, so anyone know the answer for that ?
or is it just simply " Get XP "

Simply get win xp back.
I know quite well, 'cause, my old (10 years old) but fully renovated pc
(Intel Pentium 4 2.4Ghz, Geforce FX5200, 1 Gb RAM, Asus motherboard)
runs with Vista ultimate now.
First thing: Nvidia doesn't provide forceware for winvista (not for all series though, i think 8 and 9 series are backed up). Although you maybe have the right forceware installed for your card, it won't work properly.
Second: Vista have too fierce defense, so it blocks everything immediately. You can switch off the firewall, the windows defender, everything, but i'm not sure if it'll work.
Sorry to say you this, but it would be the best thing to drop vista, and return to the old but capable winXP. (I only kept vista on my old but new pc, 'cause we have another pc which has xp on it.)
P.S. For more clues you can ask RatzaTM. Anyway he was the one who told me too, to drop vista... (he hates it as well)

Omg stop beign so dramatic... i have VISTA home premium
Laptop
2 duo core 1.66Ghz + 1 gig RAM intergrated 128 Intel gfx card.
No problems whatsoever :D
Its your logitec mouse software driver FOR SURE! i bet you ve installed that driver disk that came with the keyboard and the mouse? is it wireless?
If it is wireless k/b and mouse uninstall driver from control panel > reboot pc > desconnect receiver > reconnect > wait for vista to instal generic driver > test if its working > if not working then synchronize receiver with mouse and keyboard using connect button.
Hope above will help!

This is funny, I didn't say anything about vista being bad or anything...
I olny said that Nvidia is messing with vista. AND for some reason neither of you wrote the type of your video card...
So once again: I have no problems with vista, BUT Nvidia DOESN'T support some of the older forcewares for it. (5 and 6, and maybe 7 too)

Why will it mess with Vista? maybe if it self build PC but then even tho drivers are available.
In his case pc was purchased as 1 unit and vista was pre install, why will the nvidia gfx card interfere with Vista? why will the store sell him a PC that will not work with Vista?
PLEASE everybody stop write nonesense about Vista!

For the video cards, the original software which comes sraight from the manufacturer, is usually badly coded. That was the case with me when we bought a new pc (we have three pcs in total at home), nothing worked with the original forceware, and after we downloaded the exact same thing from Nvidia, everything worked (still works) fine.
If you don't believe you can check this at other forums too.
I won't argue with you on this, but these are facts that should be considered when buying a new pc.

I say get rid of the logitech drivers too as i know that certain logitech drives are not compatible with Cabal.

The reason for this widespread rumour that a lot of Vista drivers are really bad and don't work properly is because they are at least partly true for most ofhe bigger companies. It is a known fact in the software industry (which i work in) that the Vista shipping date slipped and slipped and people simply stopped believing the new release dates. When it did it came so suddenly that nobody really had time to properly finish the drivers they kept putting off and had to push them out quickly or the OEMs would be left driverless for their new Vista packages. They are catching up though.

I hope so. It' quite annoying that my FX5200 can't give it's best, 'cause of forceware issue. Though I decided to buy a new video card, and with that all my driver problems will finally be solved.
This pc of mine worked down 10 years already, and now, that all components are new (but all is the same, the only change is with the RAM and video card) it's perfectly fine.

No its the 3 party software that you ve install on it requires high driver version for whatever the software is designed to do.
Example
Like my laptop came and all original driver were working with Vista just fine... after i ve install cabal the game was working fine but time to time computer were restarting while i was playing cabal.. so after updating gfx card driver the game were playing like it shud of been.
My point is some 3rd party software such as Games, Multimedia software etc sometimes require lates version of drivers as it could contain fixes for a specific OS.
In his case as i ve written above should fix the problem and vista got nothing to do with his initial problem.

Not quite
I will say it the driver that he ve install isnt compatible with Vista!
Easy solution is if you plug it all in and hope vista instal generic driver.

well changing back to Win XP didnt help me, still getting those same lags with games on... no lag when i put like billions of winamps and bsplayers on with movies in em running and zillion nets all playing clips from youtube, no lags then... but just a simple cabal online... EVEN FRETS ON FIRE makes my comp have these superweird lags... so its not a OS problem anymore

I run Cabal Online on Vista, it's just fine.
I play it on my laptop, and these are the specs:
AMD Turion64 TL60 2x 2,0~GHz CPU
2 GB DDR2
nVidia GeForce 8400M G 256MB with 1024 Turbocache (lame..)
And some more blabla that's irrelevant.
