Hi i am currently playin a blader and know tht thy have low defense but i was wonderin at around lvl 100 with self buffs just wot sort of defense u guys have in average gear like shineguard. Thx for the help guys best of luck

I got 10 def with the lowest armor. Im lvl 1

Titanium set (mostly +3 and +4), aqua crystal and first rank def upgrade.
Gave me 392 defence at lvl72. Gues with a EoG and some more finetuning (and alz for the upgrades), 450 defence is easy doable at lvl75.
Im level 75 now, with Titanium Gear and I think it was in the region of 450, but I still have to upgrade my Suit and Gloves to +4 so it should be higher soon. :D

at lvl 56 with shadowsteel i got 266
no defence upgrades atm only eog+4

At the moment I am level 43 FS with +5 full adept SS set.
Expert in both sword AND magic.
Def is bit over 300. (With def upgrades and astral shield on.. =P)

With buff/shield, i now hit 467 at lvl75. Still have to get EoG+5 to add 15 more to that :)

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum but not the game, been away for a while but now I'm back!
When I left in December last year I was a lvl 90 Shielder.
My def as it stands on Osium (average gear) is 643 (lvl 93) Dual A.Master
3 to got for G.Master Sword!! Yay...
at 150 a shielder wid str build sg slot +7 and eog +7 would have around 1050 def and maybe more with earings of guard n rof +8.. bt the average fs in +6 slot sg n +6 cape would ahve around 975-1000 i think at 150

in lvl 72 with titanium (+1 and +2) with Bs shield about 430,but i hope i could upgrade my armor to higher soon:P

Well basicly if u go for the common dex build u will gain Def.rate anyway. So its like a free gift along the other juicy stats.

wot build r u dex/str or str/dex, as in more dex thn str or vice versa? atm ive gt about 3x as much str thn dex seems 2 wrk well bt gna mess about at 150 2 see the differences
atm im 139 n gt 949 def bt still need slotted boots n to get my chest +6.

Then def didnt go up again really until lvl 80 with trans and osmium/titnaium.. that was 730.. not got much furthe ryet but thats mainly cos i have 42% magic amp with my titanium parts only osmium body.. but i have + 600 hp because I have extended +3 titnaium will boots and a extended suit.. actually its all extended..
82 and here comes the pain xD (I hope)

What the heck? you are transcender and only have 600+ hp..
My lvl 44 fs has same amount of hp as you do and way lower skillranks ..

he means his upgrades give a total of +600....look at the + its before the number then read what he says after it.

Im lvl 125 FS with full SG lot +6 and i have 905 defence, thats with no rof+7's and no eog+7

atm im almost 77 lvl and i got 490 defense. Items : Tit Set+3+Sloted/ 2x rof / and aog+5/6 don't really remember ;D
Lvl 71 FS I have 519 Defense with titanium armoursuit/boots +6 slotted, titanium armourgloves/helm +5 slotted, 2x RoF +5 and AoG +4. I'm wearing EoF, not EoG.

changed some str for dex got 40 more defrate lost 4 def but i can handle b2f now easier o.O
you get 4 dmg more but if they dont hit you you can save up to 700 dmg ^^

Well I am now lvl 102 Completer / A.Master using Shineguard non slotted. I prefer this as I have way more defence than when I was using Osmium slotted.
Def now at 790 and my attack is 590 and I am able to finally solo Ruina Station where before I could not kill fast enough nor survive to the end :(
im level 11 fs, and i have weak everything,... (though im impressed at my health, coz its like almost 1/5 of my wiz at level 71,... so i think ill continue with my shielder, coz he never dies,...

lvl 112, dex build, DEF 879 atm
using SG+6(some slot, some not), AoG+7, 2x RoF+7 and EoG+6...
no protection earrings...bah
well, now im level 27, and have iron stuff,...
weak still, but well, im dual apprentice also,..

At lv103, only 766def for now...using osm +7+6& +4(on helm),also black board, prot earrings +0,amulet of pain +4(10def),eog+6.
It will rise as soon is I try to +7 more or at least make helm +6 again.

I have now hit the 800 def mark :clap3: but I'm wearing non slot SG +5
I am on 20/68 completer ( lvl 103) so aiming for that end of the rainbow Trans...
I have only one def upgrade(but 2 attack and 2 magic) so you got nothing to brag about :P
i massacre people with 800-900 defence, trust me, shineguard doesnt stop me :P
and im sure orthos can woop ure *** wonderboy :P

which is kinda sad as the 'tanking' class... Why do we need +7 top gear just to survive in PVP?

Sorry, thats not what I meant. I mean that is sad as a tanking class we get owned by so many others...
yea...by other players, but not from mobs!!!woohoo!!! that's what im talking about...
wonderboy: you mentioned about +7 gear...if you were giving me as an example, well..only my armor is +7 but it's "compensated"(in a bad way I mean) by my dumb +4 helm.(which failed +7ing in the first place and couldnt get back to +6). So you can't say that +7 helps me own. Also Harju is pretty close to me, I don't always own him, he ownz me too if I get bad luck with crits.
pvp with FS is based on luck...not cool...why!!!???
Like someone said: if you want constant high dmg get amp, if you only want bursts go for crit...but having crushing blade kinda forces us to use crit all the way but if you got money and stuff get as much amp as possible because there is no problem in combining amp with crit. I myself would like to have both at a respectable value so I won't be based on only one.(even though amp is expensive and hard to find, harju you should have never sold those gloves)
with those gloves...heh...def lose would be too much for me...coz im still aiming that 950 def...X
