Is there bonus from combo

Everyone here is saying that combo is the fastest way to level up skill.
Is there some bonus using combo or is just from the fact u never miss using combo?
I'm lvl 54 mage but never cacth the idea of combo. But I thing a manage well for the moment

30+ Expert (magic skill rang) and 1 Apprentice (sword skill rang)

So tell me what is the good part using combo

Ok I understand that But I want to know WHY????
Because of some bonuses or just the fact You never miss and using skill with great rate

Because of the fact you perform your attack skills faster and indeed, because you don't miss. Skill xp gets even better if you managed to kill multiple mobs in 1 combo. Takes a bit of practice but with some smart button set-up and a bit of experience, you can easily get 6kill-combo's all the time.

Here's a hint: bind the potion key to a thumbbutton of your mouse (using logigamer or logitech setpoint). That way you can target the next mob and heal at the same time, while you keep pressing your combo-buttons.
