Yo, I have been wondering this for a while... Can a wizard use a sword.. .and when can they... I mean, they have sword skills, yet they can't use those sword skills without a sword... so they must be able to... Just how ?

Just meet the requirement of Force Shielder/Blader for Blades or Force Blader/Blader for Katanas.

It is not recomended to use a sword however, as you will not be able to use your class specific attacks while using a sword instead of two orbs. The sword skills Wizzard gots are sword skills which every class got so nothing special about it.

The only reason you want to lvl your sword skill would be for the additional HP and Stat bonuses you gain every time you rank up

...and you won't have to spend your stat points on dex and str, so you could spend then on int. And you will be a lot better Wizard.
And, there are few sword skills that are worth skilling your sword, like Dash.

Hmm, okay thanks, i'll try so... must it be Kantana's ? I mean I just have a standard blade in my inventory, and I have almost met the requirements just by meeting the growth goals... so would that be okay ? ( level 25 by the way )

when an item isn't red, you can wear it ^^ it means that you reached the req ^^

Hi,

I am a lvl77 wizard (my magic rank is Master) and decided to train my sword skills to get the bonus str+dex so i can wear osmium. My adept gear gives +43 skill exp, and i use Change Force(Sword) to train my sword skills. Usually i go to party dungeons and grind with combos (freeze, burning hands, aqua arrow).

My sword rank is Regular, but I need like 30 minutes to have 1 skillup lol... Is it normal? At Expert magic 1 skillup needed like 8-9 minutes (with less adept bonus)...

I dont get any regular xp in party dungeons, so i tried Lake in Dusk to see if i get more skill xp for grinding on stronger monsters, but the effect is the same...

Well, that kind of wizard is more like a warlord of other games I know, hehe. He's a hybrid, STR + INT!

I heard somewhere that adept doesnt work as you force change, and it seems right to me. I did a test, combo with force change at ghost ship party dungeon, got 2 skill lvl in 30 mins, removed change foce, comboed with 3 sword skills got 3 skill lvl in 3 mins.
I think why some ppl use change force to train their sword is because they can farm higher lvl mobs and try to get some better drops while training (I remember hearing this somewhere too.. but dont remember where lol).

I'm using change force with my archer, to lvl up magic and it works, adept bonus. I think your case can be explained.

Did you use novice/apprentice skills in both cases? I mean, novice/apprentice skills with change force (arrows for example) and novice/apprentice skills without change force? impact stab, flash draw, rising shot?

You combo with nub sword skills (faster cast time, lower cool time) which determine you to use more skills in the same timeframe. More skills => more skill exp. If you used magic skills with higher casting/cooling time than the sword skills then you actually used less magic skills in the same timeframe; less skills => less skill exp.

This is where the difference can come from.

no, there is a real difference when you use sword or magic with magic to sword.
When l combo with sword (using impact stab, flash draw, and the regular one) it takes me about 10-11min/lvl and when l use noob magic skill (arrow) with magic to sword, it takes a bit longer 13-14
