I've got a few MP Absorb rings and a few HP Absorb rings, so the description goes like:
Mana Ring:
Transfers 3% Damage into MP. - bug or not? (It only works on physical attacks, doesn't on skills)
HP Ring:
Transfers 3% Damage into HP. - (Works on magic and normal attacks)

Would any1 tell me if i've missed something? Why doesn't the MP Vampiric ring work properly?

They work, but there's a cap on leech.

So for example, you have a 3% HP steal ring, but with the cap, you only steal 15 hp per skill per mob. You need +max hp steal items if you want to leech more.

Same goes for MP steal.

Cap is lvl/10, as inferno posted in his Q/A guide (info from gamemasters themselves), so, if you are lvl150, max lmit without items would be 15.

If you are lvl20, max limit would be 2.

that cap is making it not worth...unless someone tells me that hiting multiple mobs will leech hp/mp for each mob hit

To clarify some things. There is base cap and it your current level/10, in my example it 130/10=13. The cap can be raised by using vampiric items (vampiric amulet, earring and crafted suit parts) to maximum of 5% of your total HP/MP. So if you have 2200 hp this is 110 HP per hit, or if you have 1000 MP it is 50MP per hit. This counts for every hit, so if you hit 5 targets it steals from every hit ( I have 103 HP steal per hit and around 60 MP per hit, so when I hit 5 targets I get 515 hp and 300 mp) so it does worth, but you should get at least some vampiric amulet to have some real use of rings. BTW I spend around 5 MP pots per month. :)

Vampiric amulets can be only crafted as far as I know, highest that I saw was Vampiric amulet +4 (it gives max +40 hp and +40 mp steal per hit and 15 defence if I remember corectly) . How do you know if it works? Simple. Put one on and rings with % hp steal and hit mob. You will see the difference. I use that stuff for couple of months and trust me it works exactly as it is described.
