The Great sword vs. Daikatana

hi!

I'm totally new to the game and have made my decision to go fot the warriorclass... since i don't really like the look of great swords i rather go for daikatanas.. but i was wondering, what is the main difference between these two?

Could someone write down the pros and cons for both?

Well I would suggest Great Sword.

Since a warrior wants power and not magic and hitrate

Great Swords have higher attack then daikatana and also requires more STR and that's good for the heavy armour that requires also a lot STR

Daikatana's have higher hitrate and magic.
But since a warrior doesn't use magic and since you never miss with combo it's kinda useless:p

And there is no speed difference between those 2 xD

Trust me the mi thril Great Sword just looks kick *** xD

great sword have 3more attack point than daikatana, you could says its nothing so we dont care, but you are wrong...coz daika is a big waste of stats point because you will need lots of dex...i wear daika only because i didnt find the same weapon or better in gs...but i'd rather have an osm gs dbl slot 10%rate 10%dmg than my daika osm dbl slot 10%rate 10%dmg...

If you want a dex warrior you use a daikatana, mobs will have a hard time hitting you and the same for player vs player, the down points are much lower defense so if you do get hit it hurts more and 1 on 1's will put you at the low end of winning because combos never miss.

It depends what you want.

dex adds same def as str, u just more def/atk rate less atk with dex / daikatana

Great Sword adds slightly more damage than the Daikatana. Also, if you use Daikatana, you easily get too much dex on warrior. And high level Greatswords (red osmium, for example) really made me cream =P

Well, they're not THAT different, so use whatever you prefer ^^
