Service outage - 11/05/09

We are aware that the game and website has been unavailable this evening until about 18:40 CABAL time. This was caused by one of our DNS providers having a major issue on their network which meant the entire cabalonline.com and games-masters.com addresses ceased to exist on the Internet at all.

This has now been resolved, and we will chase the provider for a full report of the incident in due course

Connectivity and Hosting

One of the routers in our Manchester core experienced a fault at 17:15 today that caused loss of connectivity for DSL and hosting services. Normal service was restored at 19:45.
We have determined that the fault was caused by insufficient cooling leading the router to overheat and our engineers are now working with data centre staff to rectify the problem.
