Default Skill training afk using buffs?

    Hi,

Since an archer got 7 buff skills and the max is 6, I was wondering if it is possible to gain ranks using just these buff skills AFK?

Once you got trans magic change magic to sword and get trans magic :>

    Yours,

    Quad

As far as I know, buffs won't recast if you keep a button pressed. So you can't afk skill lvl, unless you're using a macro, leading to a ban.

You can use the buffs to skill lvl, but the cast time is 2.2 sec.
Hi! I'm a lvl 140 FA playing on Mars server. I'm a member of the best guilds ever, Xray, nation Procyon. Bye bye! ^-^

You do get skill exp from it --- I even got a skill up once during a buff refresh.

Also, buff casting design is flawed --- you can't recast a buff until it actually flashes. This is the most trivial way to prevent skill levelling with buffs, since you need forever to be able to cast a buff again (along the same ways, that's why you can't cast Heal if you are at full health).

It is bugged design because it's annoying for players; they can't just do a full refresh of all buffs in one go, but have to refresh each buff individually when it starts flashing.

The anti-skilling effect could also be achieved by giving skill exp based on how much time you still had left: if you cast a buff without it being active you'd get 100% skill exp; if you recast the buff while you still have 90% time left you would only get 10% of the normal skill exp.
Zyhar (Mars) - Lvl 118 Force Archer (working on lvl 110 rank up) (Transcender)
    Cyla (Mars) - Lvl 74 Warrior (A.Master, I think)

Well from what I've heard is that you can have only 5 buff skills on if you recast the 6th then the first buff casted will go away, so that means you could non-stop using skills over and over and get Trans easily right?

With the new buffs, the limit will go up too when you get style up quests. It seems that max number of buffs will be 10.

But that's after the update right? I can train skills if I got my skill rank up to A. Master? Could somebody confirm this?

Strange, I heard from people who did suceed, using only very low lvl buffs.... not sure, but I might try if it's true.

Yeah but it is true that I can use buffs over and over since the max buffs is 5? Yes?:>

Yes, as long as the buff you're casting is either:
    a) not yet cast on you
b)blinking, indicating you can cast it again

With low level buffs you can cast buffs sooner, since the duration is shorter.

Well duration doesn't matter if you have 6 buff skills ;>

You can buff yourself all day and night if you have sharpness in addition to the 5 buffs everyone has. When you cast the 6th buff on yourself he 1st will fal off, so you can start over :>

    But whats the point?

    Edit: Oww, Quadraxis was faster

What's the point?! This means that you can skill up without attacking a mob!

But it only has use if you're low rank, and only few classes have 6 buffs at a lower rank.

My wiz is App/A.Expert and has only got Hardness, Regeneration and sharpness. So for me it would be no use, it would be way too slow.

Yes this means that Force Archer is the only class that can level up fast using buff skills, since they got 6!

Yep, but buffs and heals give little skill xp compared t attack skills (from my experiences). And you can't afk skill this way (unless using a macro which is equal to being banned), so spamming magic arrows on grey mobs is a much better idea

    How many % lower?

  21. #21

    Default

% uber very low in like
atk skill = 10 skill exp
    buff = 1 skill exp

its just example not real skill exp >.>
and if you wondering adept wont work with buffs so its very useless
