Force Enchant mode

hi im still reasonably new to the game, and i was just wondering; when i go into force enchant mode and use a magic spell it just buffs my sword instead of using it as an attack. Can anyone explain why it does that for me? any help is appreciated thanks.

The buffing during the Battle Mode makes your Fb stronger.
For example through the aqua cannon/lance/arrow you gain more hp during bm1( for example with lv 120+ and aqua cannon during bm1 you will have about 4k hp).
For you it is the best to wait till you´re full transcender, because than you have enough skill points to buy cannons and bring them till lv 20.The most Fb use for bm1:
Lightning Cannon(Lv 20; adds Attack)
Stone Cannon(Lv 20; adds Defense)
Aqua Cannon(lv 20; adds Hp)
Wind Cannon(Lv10-20; adds Attack Rate and Def Rate)
