I got no comment on the activity of the support ticket system, but I'm trying what I can do here on the forums AS a fellow player/paying customer.

You should know by now, that the cause of those errors you have while playing Cabal is still unknown. Your best shot atm is try what Gijsoft had said already in your thread and hope you can figure out the cause of it on your PC, otherwise you'd have to test the final option, which is a fresh reinstall of Windows. I'll be glad to check your PC out, if you bring it to me, but sadly I doubt you live close to Netherlands ^__^;;... There are simply limits at giving instructions from far away, that's pretty much the gist of it.

Ye ticket system as been sucking lately, and we know that you're doing your best Pado =D.
Anyways some friends of mine that had this problem before also suggested reinstalling windows sooo...you must really love this game if you're up to it xD

well...the C++ error seems to be gone (did a lot of IC1's to test it) and the cause was an app from search&destroy

now the problem of the sudden crash remains

and i rly cant do a fresh install of my windows cuz i dont have any HD's to store my *cough*pornographic anime collection*cough*

and ya...ticket/support sistem is uber crap, i was requested to send them some files from GG but after that.....silence for quite some time now.


maybe this isnt a bad time to take another few month break from cabal

Well, we got BAT's to help with reporting bots, GA's with helping people with in-game questions, QAT with discovering, testing and confirming bugs for reporting to ESTsoft and SA's dealing with technical problems. We are all just trying to help to make the game run nicely, so we can play without worries as well ^__^. Ultimately, it's still all dependent on the GM's to sort things out though :P.

Nyan... a 2TB HDD is nowadays only 75-80 Euro... that's cheap... I doubt your current HDD is that big :P.

To keep a Windows healthy, it's best to keep the Windows partition (usually C clean. I don't know many games you play, but a 200GB partition is usually more than enough for just programs + 7-8 big size games installed. I always store my anime/music etc. on a different HDD. I even have uselessly a lot of partitions... don't even ask me why...

You forgot that normal users submit many bugs, and the QAT's test them (I got over 20 bug reports confirmed xD)

I passed the 300 marker for my dvd's so 1TB is to small and i dont like keeping things in my comp since it affects performance. My system partition used to have a whopping 70GB and i put only the main things on it, stuff like vegas, players, codecs ..... separately. And some fine tuning is always welcome i managed to get the windows load screen to last 3 sec I still miss 7 though

Nyan: I didn't know what to buy for myself last Christmas, so I bought an extra 2TB... and guess what? One month later it was 20 euro's cheaper xD... sigh :P. No, I don't got extra free hdd's... I got 2x 1TB, 1x 1,5TB and 2x 2TB HDD's atm... I still got space for 1x 3,5" HDD slot, but I'm seriously lacking space in my PC case... even though it's a version 1 Antec Nine Nine Hundred...

snor02: I've long switched over to buying new HDD's instead of buying Taiyo Yuden DVD+R's (I only use these) as the price is nearly the same in euro per GB and blu-ray should get a bit cheaper imho ;p. Well, if I care about the loading speed I would have ignored the price of SSD's and bought one already, but the price is just... :P.

What did you all install (excluding important Windows updates) before testing Cabal ?

Which Windows 32/64-bit are you using?

What is your PC's specification?

Which virus scanner/firewall are you using now?

only installed anti-virus and...updated my graphic card. I tried to install the least number of programs that way I could eliminate some possibilities. still doesnt make sense I dont think my anti-virus is doin this I checked the exceptions aswell. btw im using 32 bit nvidia 6200 and about 1033 ram if im not mistaken

So, Windows XP 32-bit? You should install at least Internet Explorer 8, Java, Adobe Flash, .net Framework 3.5 and update DirectX 9.0c aside from installing your video card drivers to start with...

But that still doesn't explain Cabal crashing to desktop without any error message though :P. It could also simply be the age of your PC components, that's all I can say. A Nvidia 6200 is a budget model from 7 years ago already...

I know its a bit old, but i was always able to play cabal with no problems, so doesnt make sense blaming it on my wooden components xD btw already did all those updates

A BIT OLD? It's unacceptably old for an anime fan! You can't even watch high quality 1080p blu-ray video's smoothly on your PC :P. That's a crime! *cough* /mode angry off, anyway, we are talking about a PC here and not a console, just because Cabal, a game that gets upgrades, used to run on it, doesn't mean it will keep running finely after a couple of years... especially with borderline hardware...
It's a totally different story compared to having, for example, a 4-5 years old PC with an Intel C2D E6300, 2GB ram and a Nvidia 7/6600GT video card (mainstream segment), which Cabal would still run finely on it.

i can always use my ps3 for blu-ray =) . i dont care if its old pado -.- thats not the point here, the point is i could play cabal just fine until a few weeks. are u telling me just cause we got lava hellfire update i cant play cabal cause supposedly it got higher graphics and now my pc cant handle them? thats bushwig this as nothing to do with my pc or are u gonna say that everyone that has this problem has a old pc?

The thing is, we've got to figure out the facts first. I assume you are having sudden crash to desktop issues since you are posting here right?

It's no doubt crazily weird that you suddenly can't play Cabal properly on your PC after the last update, however, the thing is, what is indeed the cause of it?

Surely most people have no problems at all after the update, seeing the lack of people posting about a similar case as yours. It's true that not everybody who plays Cabal uses the forum, but people who have technical problems will always instinctively come towards here (advised to go here), is what I've noticed so far as well though.

Let's say that 99% of the time, when the Cabal client is properly installed and updated, then it should work properly. So, if we assume that your PC software environment is in a totally good condition, then what is actually causing your Cabal to crash?

All the clues are pointing either towards your old hardware or a rare case of incompatibility between the current Cabal version and your hardware. Or we can even assume that the latest Cabal update to be the little drop of water that made it's container overfull, making it leak as well.

I'm always welcome to other brainstorm results...

you're right. but i could always play cabal on this pc and it always worked and its weird that suddenly it doesnt work anymore so i eliminated the possibility of bein my hardware(considering what you're saying ofc). i tried using the files (from cabal) from my other computer and it still crashed so im thinking that it should be some kind of compatibility issue.
