I can't login because when i open cabal i get this

. Im using NOD 32 antivirus and Windows XP SP3 i scan system NOD 32 , Avira and Malwarebytes AntiMalware and 0 viruses but its not work.

Same here....but no antivir... i have Windows XP (32bit) Daytona edition... before update everything was fine...but after update it started to get gg error everytime..

Same problem here. I've already looked up those possible solutions, and did them. From restarting PC, redownloading and reinstalling the game, running a full PC scan, deleting just the Game Guard folder and redownloading it, to checking drivers that are up to date and processes, but nothing helped.

I'm using Windows XP SP2, Avast antivirus and my PC is within the range of the minimum requirements for this game, so I shouldn't have a problem.

If anyone has any good idea how to fix this, I would be happy to listen to it.

i have a solution it work for me ;D

1.disable antivirus and firewall
2.quit unnecessary admin processes in task manager
3.delete gameguard folder
4.launch game and gameguard get automatcly download
5.and its work for me

i must do this every time when i want play cabal but its work

As Men33 said, you can try deleting the gameguard folder. It should fix the problem if it's a simply corrupted gameguard, otherwise it could be kinda nasty to trace down the cause of the error.

1) Either you've a program installed that gameguard is reacting to, making Cabal unable to start, so you'd need to trace down that program or uninstall all unused programs to test things. If this error only started to happen recently (new player/sudden error that happened after Cabal got updated to episode VI), you might want to look in whether you've installed/changed/updated any programs that might be causing this.

2) Gameguard migh have failed to start-up. Check in your lower right corner to see whether the gameguard icon is there, if it isn't that means gameguard hasn't started up. Your antivirus/firewall program is usually the culprit here. You could disable/add cabal and gameguard files to the exclusion list/uninstall your antivirus and restart your PC to test whether Cabal would work.

Trying to reinstall Cabal might work as well.

I already tried reinstalling Cabal, I download it 3 times and it's still the same :P
The gameguard is in the lower right corner, which means it DOES start, but somehow, it always says that it "can't restart GameGuard". I did add it in the antivirus's list of things that does not scan though. If there is a program that bothers it, I don't know what it could be :/

I managed to log in only once last night and after that, I simply shut down my computer and went to sleep. This morning it didn't work -.-' I kept deleting the GameGuard folder, and it downloads it all over again, but also shows the same error.

i have next solution

1.disable antivirus
2.launch game
3.when gameguard start click CTRL+ALT+DELETE and minimalize it
4.next cabal start and sould work

remember to turn the task manager after I turn on GameGuard, but before you turn on Cabal

I updated my client in my other computer and i have the same error in gameguard, i deleted the folder and i turned off the antivirus (avast) and the firewall. Any solution?
