Mith GS and Mith DK: worth the switch or not that big of a str rape?

Hello all.

So I recently bought a Mith DK +9 40% dmg, and since I never used a DK much before, I had to rape my stats from 9XX STR back to 878 so I could get 68 INT points and 203 DEX points to use the damn thing.

But, I can't help the feeling that its a huge STR and stat rape to use a daikatana instead of a great sword.

I wanted to use that build website called orazurr, but avast goes haywire with it because it has virus (or so it says, but other people confirmed it), so I think its better to ask here the difference in stats between 971/67/112 to 879/67/203, because it looks like its a huge difference to me...
