it's because there are so many whiners on this forum. that they dont give a release date untill they can assure 100% that it will be on that date.
because if they say update goes live on date X. and it gets delayed untill date Y, they have given an open intro for more WHINE
which is just a sad waste of time if you ask me, and already happening way to much
