IC2 Drosnin quest doesn´t start.

Hello,

I think we encountered a bug today in IC2. After killing the Gni fire trap boss we wanted to start the drosnin quest.The bookshelve, however, did not respond and so we could not start the quest. We have tried all possible things to get it to work, including dying, relogging and we even got somebody to enter and try and help us get it. Unfortunately nothing worked. I´ve also asked in TheNest if I might have missed anything vital, like a quest item or something which is required to start the quest, but nobody could tell me anything that we did or were doing wrong.

They had the 'Book of Wind' "equipped" in their quest progress list. (Which is needed (iirc) for the Drosnin quest)

If the guy who's making the quests get a DC,he won't be able to make the dros quest...

What do you want to see on the screen? All the information that we can give has been provided in text already.

That's not true, anybody can do the Drosnin quest, even if they DC or not.

In GF,if i make the quest,and i get DC,i won't be able to finish the Dros quest.

I did not DC before trying to take the quest. I did crash later, and came back in (comparable to relog) and that did not change a thing about whether I was able to take the quest. Neither was my duo partner or Olive, whom joined later, able to.

As Olive already said: there's no use in taking a screenshot of this bug. You can't screen that clicking the bookshelf gives no response, it looks just the same as any regular screenshot of that bookshelf. There is nothing to see. I didn't make a screen of the situation because of said reason, but if you really want one... I can go IC2 tomorrow with daily entrance and make a screen of the bookshelf, but I guess that does not really add much to the situation does it?

The screenshot would be to cool to see your quest progress for example. Ok, you wrote it down, but if I write I can do the quests all the time, won't help you at all. We need something to get familiar with this bug. Bug that cannot be reproduced are hard to report towards EST.

It's really simple though.. He couldn't even click the first bookcase which activates the Drosnin quest.

I still need a quest progress to what out what is wrong, so..
You enter ic2, kill the mobs => gates => shelf in the 2nd room + table. In the 3rd room gate => fireplace + table. Next room mirror + fireplace + mirror => 1st boss. Then chest + mirror, in the 4th room the four statues => 2nd boss. And after this you can't click on the shelf in the 2nd room, right?

They killed G'ni before starting to activate Drosnin.

I always thought you can´t click drosnin till after G´ni boss, so I did it slightly different.

After 2nd boss--> click table->click booskhelf to spawn fire servants->kill Kevin-->Kill G'ni-> Click the fire servant room bookshelf twice, first to finish the G'ni quest, second to open the door to drosnin. Then I went to the shelf in the room accross the hallway, as seen from the entrance. It did not respond. I did all the quests that were required to normally start up drosnin, and I did not do anything different than normal.

I have just tried what you wrote and it works for me. I even tried with different combinations:

trying to talk before opening G'ni's chest
after opening the chest but before talking to the shelf where the fire servants are
after clicking once on the fire servant shelf
after clicking twice

I even relogged and was able to talk to the mentioned shelf. I'm currently out of ideas.

I might be going another IC2 run today or tomorrow. I will try to reproduce the bug as well, but as I never had this bug before either, I guess it might have been a bug that does not occur very often. Will give you an update when I did another run.

I did another run today, did the exact same thing as yesterday, but I could not reproduce the bug.

Shouldn't you talk to the drosnin before the bookshelf?

Anyway, something similar occurred to me today, and I could click neither Drosnin's altar, neither second bookshelf. My quest inventory was Wind key and Book of wind, nothing more and no quest in progress.
I'll send you screens in PM if you want to check them (usually I don't do the quests, so I'm not sure I didn't miss anything).

No, you first need to talk to the bookshelf, and drosnin after. However, when the bookshelf did not respond, of course we also tried it the other way around. Didn't work either.
