How to tell apart a real [Tip] message from a fake one.

Since there have been many cases of account hacking recently,due to people visiting the websites posted in the fake [Tip] messages in the system box,i thought i'd make this thread,to raise awareness of the Cabal's community.

There are a few simple things which differ a real [Tip] message from a fake one.

1. A real [Tip] message will appear at the top of your screen,and in the System box.
A fake message will not.



2. A fake [Tip] message advertises a website which either offers free Cabal Cash,or tells players to accept new rules for Cabal.Both of these are fake. DO NOT VISIT THOSE WEBSITES.
A real Game Master won't tell you to go to any website,other then www.cabalonline.com,http://forum.cabalonline.com or support.cabalonline.com
You will not see these sites in the System box in any case.





3. Fake [Tip] messages have a different color than the real ones.
Real messages have a slightly darker shade of red.


4. On top of all this,the fake [Tip] messages are usually full of spelling/grammar errors,so they are quite easy to spot.You can see that in the picture above.


Now,i know that the fake [Tip] messages have been around for quite some time now,and many of you know how to tell them apart,so some people may call this thread useless.
The reason i made this thread is to inform players who are new to the game,and people who don't know this yet.

You forgot to add that some people find it funny to make people think they've found a random rare drop like a [EoX+8] while they weren't even in a dungeon that drops it and when people think they were lucky and look in their inventory for the item which isn't there, they'd complain that the game is bugged.

True,there is that.
There is also the selling of random stuff on the System box,as well as the random chat/trolling on it.
But i was focusing on [Tip] messages only.

you say "semi-useless" , because you're not at TheNest getting the complaints of the new players and even distracted ones, asking when the PvP Event is taking place or that their accounts have been hacked.

Wow your joking right? I was not talking about the thread I was talking about the point I quoted (This community should get some glasses) about the spelling mistakes in the TIP's messages. As for people who visit X site and get their items stolen thats their own fault they come to this forum and the main site to register and find out more information and yet they still visit those sites thinking that they are real when it is plastered over the main site, this forum and the support site about fake GM's and Fake sites.

As for TheNest comment I refuse to answer than as it seems (on jupiter) any player can obtain this tag (in reference to the latest 3 GA's Iv seen) and my own opinions on the GA team are not relevent to this post.

Thats true but shouldn't the GM's,INCA and ESTsoft be doing messures to prevent those who can use a bypass and CE to gain access to the TIP Box code to manipulate it so they can obtain items/accounts via such methods not normal players (after all thats all GA's are)

same with that I got already 3 times that some guy pm me and telling he's [GM]Hawk,
sad ppl, like I fall for that :P [GM]Hawk with another name telling me to give my id and pw or he bannes me hehe
