So what is a Game Advisor?

A Game Advisor is a person who applies for a voluntary job too give advice to players both in-game and on the forums

What about GAL and GAA?

The GAL is the "Game Advisor Leader" It's the GAL's job to manage the team

The GAA is the "Game Advisor Assistant". The GAA is the second in command of managing Game Advisors and is the GAL's assistant.

Where to find a GameAdvisor (GA)? / TheNest

There are many ways to contact our Game Advisor Team.
You can check the Team List and pm them directly ingame or here on forum.

Another way is to use the channel chat "TheNest". This channel is made lone time ago from the GA Team (Idea from TheTitan) and is still in use.

So the fastest way to contact us is to join this channel chat and ask there for a (GA)/(GAA)/(GAL) to help you

How to join “TheNest”

1. First open the options menu:
   
   
   
   
2. Click the "Chat" tab: (Number 1)
   
3. Enter the Channel Name (TheNest): (Number 2)
   
4. Press the button below the password box (Leave password empty) (Number 3)
   
   
   
   
5. If you did everything correctly you'll see a system message that you have joined the channel:
   
6. To talk in the Chat Channel you need to use " /c" in front of the text, Or press enter and click on the speech bubble too the left of the chat box.
   
7. The text will be displayed in a yellow colour, the same colour as channel is in the image below.
   
   
   

You can see what we type even if we are on a war map and you haven't chosen nation yet (or if you belong to the opposing nation). You can see our messages also if we are on the war channel.

So if you need any help from a GA, join the chat channel "TheNest" - it has no password. Its easier for both the GA's and yourself to use it as you can talk with us no matter where you are or where we are, you wont need to relog even if you are on the war channel.

How to become a Game Advisor

To become a Game Advisor you must meet the requirements listed in this post. If you do, fill out the application template and send it to me (Nyan) through a forum message.

Language Specific Recruitment status :

Applications sent outside recruitment periods will not be read nor answered. The only exception of this will be in the cases of Language specific recruitment periods which will be listed directly below.


Language Specific Recruitment periods

In certain rare circumstances, I will create a post here in Mars General Discussions allowing people who speak certain languages apply. If the opportunity is open to you, please remember that all of the requirements in the application still apply towards you.

Please note, if you do not speak any of these languages your application will be automatically declined. Language Specific Recruitment periods are very uncommon and I will open recruitment for everyone at certain time periods.

The current status and open languages of Language Specific Recruitment is as follows.


The following languages do not have a Game Advisor;

• Greek
• Norwegian
• Swedish
• Lithuanian
• Danish
• Turkish
• Italian
• Hungarian

You must meet the following requirements to become a Game Advisor;

• You must be level 170 or higher.
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must have a forum account with decent amount of posts.
• You must have a skype account.
• You must have good knowledge about all aspects of the game, including support.
• You must have a clean history, meaning no previous bans or infractions.
• You must have a good reputation amongst the community, meaning no flaming, trolling, hell raisingand scamming.

The following are also recommended to become a Game Advisor and strongly boost your chances of being successful;

• You should have a high level of English, both reading and writing.
• You should be familiar with TheNest chat channel.
• You should be familiar with the forums and use them often.
• You cannot be willing do adjust behavior so that you can become a Game Advisor.
• You should have used TheNest frequently and understand the responsibilities of the Game Advisors.
• Your GA account must be accessible by you ONLY. (No account sharing allowed)

Please do not apply if you don't match any of the requirements, Your application will be declined.

Below is the application form template. Fill this out and then send me the form via forum message

Please use "Game Advisor Application [YourName]" As the message title.

1. Information about you and your character;
   
   ~ Character name,
   ~ Character level,
   ~ Character guild,
   ~ Character nation,
   ~ Other characters you have on your account, Include ones on Jupiter and Mercury,
   ~ Previous names of characters you have been known by. (Includes re-names)
   ~ Provide a screenshot of the char's gear (this lets us know you know how to build it)
   ~ Provide a screenshot of the character creation date
   ~ Provide a screenshot of the dungeon achievement count (this lets us know you are not a stranger to dungeon quests)
2. Information about yourself;
   ~ Real name,
   ~ Age,
   ~ Gender,
   ~ Occupation,
   ~ Location,
   ~ Languages you speak fluently,
   ~ English ability - Reading and Writing.
3. Information about you as a player;
   
   ~ What other games have you played, and for how long?
   ~ How long have you been actively playing Cabal Online?
   ~ How many hours per week do you spend on Cabal?
   ~ What do you do with your time online on Cabal?
   ~ What times of day are you online?
4. Situations;
   
   ~ Your being flamed because you are a Game Advisor, What do you do?
   ~ 2 People are fighting and arguing constantly in TheNest. What do you do?
   ~ You find someone being overly aggressive in mission war. They are Shouting abuse and fowl language towards other players. What do you do?
   ~ Someone has been scammed for an Epaulet of Fighter +8 and is continuously begging for help on TheNest. What do you do and what would you tell the player?
5. Other Information, and your opinion;
   ~ What do you believe the main role of a Game Advisor is; What is the purpose of a Game Advisor?
   ~ Why do you want to become a Game Advisor?
   ~ If your application was to be successful and you become a Game Advisor, what would you do?

This form must be detailed. I will not accept half filled or badly filled applications. The form must also be written by you. If you require or use a translator of any kind, you will be declined as it is obvious.

It will take up to 2 weeks for me to process an application.



If you have been declined, I will not provide details to why you were declined.
