mmee too the same bug !!! this is a bug !
Its working just that appareance is not displayed anymore: you cant sell ur suit for instance even if there is no tool-tip on it.
Can you guys write here what you did exactly step by step? So we'll try to reproduce this problem.

Maybe from lag? Do you have AH/Mail delays aswell?

- Description:I opened the Magic Merchant,Upgrade >Modify Appearance. Upon inserting the items in the windows and selecting the duration,i clicked "Change Appearance".The system gave out a message that the modification failed,however i kept the suit and alz needed for the change.

So yea,i tested this on other characters too,you guys can test / confirm it.

It either fails and nothing happens or the catalyst get used it up and it says success, but the appearance change wasn't applied to the item -__-;;...

You miss something on your description: IF the tool-tip say u have successfully change appearence, the item dont change appearence BUT all the modifications that normaly occur ( character binding and unable to sell) are applied normaly.
To test that just try to sell or put in the Ah the item.
And that's even more weird !
Well i never got the message that i successfully changes the appearance. :P
Try testing with different suits :P.

This:
I got the same problem here.. Tryed to change appearence to my suit, orb, gloves, boots.. All Succesful, but nothing changes... If i try again with another item, it will always fail.
Confirmed that success isn't success : the appearance isn't changed, and the game DCes if you try to sell it (personal shop, trade window, yekaterina).
I can also reproduce the "fail without disappearance of the material" when trying to change the appearance of such a bugged item (obtained through the fail success above).
Did anyone get that "fail" bug ever since the first try on a given item?

Most probably be fixed with the next update Not maintenance
It will be fixed. But I doubt it counts as critical bug (compared to the lags, or some serious crashing issues other versions have), so don't expect it to be soon. I don't understand all the fuss around this bug... It's not like appearance chance was an essential feature of the game...
Change Apparence
After 3 weeks of patience for Change Apparence we had a big nothing solved , bug guild still here, bug buddy still there , and change apparence is still there , for what was this maint?
When will be Change Apparence solved? in Ep10?
It's not a server issue, it's an issue with the new cabalmain version ( they changed compilers afaik.) so just wait till est works on a new main
