Windows 8 bug

Hey,just wanted to report you you.Your game(the updater for sure and I believe the game itself)won't start on Windows 8 because of its Antimalware Service Executable.Once you end process on the window's antimalware you can start the updater and with it the game. The updater is actually registered in procceses as a process but you its kinda like virtual,you cant click on it,you cant see it,its just taking your memory but its not there.

***All this happens only during Windos 8 Antimalware Service is on(and its a totally normal implemented service in Win8) soo I think you might try to fix your game a bit .

It might help if you provide what version of Windows 8 you are using.

Are you using the retail version of Windows 8 Pro that's being sold via Microsoft's site and stores or free/halfpriced upgrades from buying a computer close to the Windows 8 release that still had Windows 7 or downloaded via the MSDNAA/Technet testing programs?

Or did you install the Windows 8 Enterprise 90-days previewers program (confirmed to have issues with Cabal) thingy?

Or you got a super new computer that came standard with Windows 8?

I've been using Windows 8 Pro (msdnaa iso image installation) since the official release last month and I didn't have any issues with that anti-malware module at all. I did a fresh install btw and not an upgrade.

But if you are simply talking about update.exe running in your the Windows Task Manager-Processes without loading, then it's just simply a cache IE related issue... go watch some youtube on IE and it will fix it, if you end the process of update.exe and restart it. This occurs on older Windows versions as well.

i have the same problem, but i just start up IE first and start up cabal and boom there it is. i am used to it already xd
