Windows 8 Critical Process Died

Hi

Ive got Windows 8 and whenever I start Cabal i get "new" Blue Screen with "" saying "Critical Process Died" I tried to reinstal Cabal turned off Antivirus and it doesnt help after gameguard finishes its update I get this weird blue screen http://www.cooper.com/wp-content/upl...denkrishna.png just like this but it is saying "Critical Process Died" I dont know what to do any more... anyone know what could be the problem? maybe Drivers?

Interesting ... no idea... there's no official Windows 8 support yet, so there's little to nothing known about possible issues that can occur with Cabal on W8. If you are running W8 from a Virtual Machine and using the Windows 8 Enterprise preview, then it's a lost cause :P.

I've personally been testing W8 Pro 64-bit (retail) version after it got on sale, but I have never encountered that issue before.

Can you give some information regarding your computer and Windows 8 version etc.? A dxdiag (search for dxdiag, start it up, after it's loaded, click on save all information... and save the .txt file and upload it) would nice for that.

Which antivirus are you talking about btw? Some 3rd-party one or the standard Windows 8 one?

Well, Cabal isn't adapted to the new system yet, so don't expect smooth working at Win8. It will be updated as soon as possible, and for sure there will be information at forum about it.

Well right now Im at work i cant tell you all specs of my PC coz of it but that cannot be the issuse at it is brand new and cabal worked for me 2 days ago on it and now... i forgot to write is... after windows update Ive started to have this issue I might roll back my pc or reinstal windows 8 Ill provide more informations later on today if anyone has a similar problem or a solution please help (and yes it is only happening when I start cabal)

Resolved Avast and Windows 8 dont get along at least yet Ill just stick with windows defender
