iam not very sure what you mean exactly with the mecha buffalo and the sticks
but iam pretty sure i will find out today that i will go for the first time!

The Mecha Buffalo+ is in a place where "graveyard stones" like thingies "stick out" :P. And they can be destroyed, but if you destroy one 2x Mecha Buffalo+ will appear, so you would like to prevent that unless you want to be mobbed :P. That's why Inferno stated in this guide, that people should draw the single Mecha Buffalo+ outside that place/room, so you won't accidentally destroy one the stones and make more of them appear.

There is a better way at the bear. Pull the buffallo+ and almost kill it outside to avoid to hit the sticks. Than hit all sticks. They will spawn alot of buffallo+ and the sticks will also respawn. Lure those mobs out and kill that buffallo+ you almost killed. The door will close you port in. Now it does not matter if you hit those sticks, because the mobs are alredy alive, but outside so that they can not hit you.
