[Guide] How to report a Bot user/Cheater

Many don't know how to report someone who is using a Bot or a hack that's why i will show you step by step what you need to do.

1. Who is the enemy?

2. How can i know that anyone is using a bot or a cheat?

There are different ways to catch a bot user, [GM]Radagast made a little list:

1) Drop a pot out of normal reach to see if it vanishes
2) Kill all the mobs around it to see if it just stands still
3) /w,Party,trade to get players attention and to check status
4) If there in same guild show/look at status in guild list
5) If in group drop item out of range, this shows that char actually picking up
6) If suspect dies watch to see if it respawns and runs back to same spot 180 sec
7) Ask them if there using hack/bot.... belive it or not we get people admitting they do all the time.

how to recognise them?
- when they die they instantly respawn in town, when they get killed
- before they walk/dash back to the spot they will first summon astral weapon(if they have one) and then buffs himself
4. This applies to pk/war ch only
- Try to hit the suspect, and see if it reacts to it.

Note: If you can't read his name because he is on a war zone just report the numbers because the GM's can encode them.

3. Where do I find such rule breakers?

Bot Users: Can be mostly everywhere but there are some famos spots like:

- Zombie Lihorn spot in UG
- Trogol Spot in DS
- Near the end of FGR
- Mechzard spot in FR
- And much more

Sometimes you can see a bot which stucks in a town or anywhere (the bot will move again and again to the same place or run against a wall etc).

Alz Sellers: They are shouting in towns (often BI) or in the warp center.

Speed Hackers: They are often on the war channel or TG, or hunting bosses in LS and PF.

Loot Hackers: Often on the trade channel to get a rare drop from our equatable players, or on TG to get the legacy weopens

Dmg Hackers: Often in dungeon where u can't see them but as well on TG to one hit you.

Craft Hackers: They are doing some perfect crafts in a row (Note: Not everybody who has luck in crafting is a hacker).

4. With which programs i can report them?

You can report a bot user/cheater with a video or Screenshoots but the success rate with a screenshoot is low (sometimes just 15-20%).

Better use a Video-Capture-Program if you can (80-90%)

Note: If it is a "ordinary" Alz-Farm-Bot like dennyaffds and dennyasgsg then just make a screenshoot with xfire or in-game and upload it on www.imageshack.us for example.

The best would be xFire or Fraps (You can use the trial version but it just records 30 seconds or you buy the full version)

5. Where do i report the bot user/cheater/Alz Seller?

We report via the Support System, there is a section called "Bot Reports / Detectives" if you click on "Submit a Ticket".

Just follow the steps there.

6. How to file a report?

This will give us a better chance to look into your reports rather than the quite common reports were getting atm 'He Cheats' with no proof or even a name.

Go to www.cabalonline.com to see the Time when you found the Bot user/Cheater.

7. Why is the Bot user/Cheater not banned yet?

Again a little list from [GM]Radagst:

1) Spelling mistakes on char names not backed up with video.
2) 'Hes a Bot' not backed up with video
3) 'He could be a bot please check' not backed up with video
4) '[GM]Radagast is a bot' ...pls just not funny after the first 10 and wastes GM's time
5) Videos placed on sites with 'dubious url's' or poor quality like Utube
6) Genuine mistakes or None Bots
7) Malice reports or fake reports
8) Errors in Form (we dont delete any reports even errors)

Reports can need a bit, please show patience.
